		<title><![CDATA[Chimney Fire]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[North Lakes units were asked to respond to a structure fire on Route 161 in Cross Lake TWP. Upon arrival, units found out Fort Kent Fire & Rescue were also called and had responded because of a mixup with the exact location on the incident. Crews also found that the fire was reported incorrectly, and was a chimney fire instead. North Lakes crews worked together with Fort Kent to finish putting out the fire, checking for extension and cleaning up. North Lakes responded with 16 crew and 6 apparatus.]]></description>

		<title><![CDATA[Tree on Fire]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[North Lakes units where called for a tree on the power lines that was on fire and fire had spread to the ground around the tree. When units arrived on scene, they found that there was only a small amount of coals both on the ground and at the tree top. The tree was still hanging on live power lines. Maine Pubic was called and arrived very quickly. They removed the tree from the lines with no further issue. With the help of a thermal imaging camera the North Lakes units where able to detect a couple hot spots and cooled them with some water. They also removed parts of the stump to check for extension. Units cleared the scene shortly after.]]></description>

		<title><![CDATA[Public Assist]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[North Lakes received a phone call from a local store advising that a customer stopped and said that there was a tree blocking one lane on Rt 162. They said it would be a hazard after dark. Two units responded and found two trees that had blown down and were blocking the southbound lane. The trees were hanging up about 4 to 5 feet off the ground. Units used a  chain saw to cut off the tops of the trees and removed them to the side of the road. Both units clear approximately 1830 hrs.]]></description>

Arrangements were made with Maine DOT to pick up the trailer at the Mad. Lake station and deliver it to MEMA in Augusta for deployment. A North Lakes member met the representative and assisted him with getting the equipment on the road.]]></description>

After the scene was secure units started to check roads around Cross Lake. 5 more trees where found on lines and 2 where found and removed from road ways. Each scene was deemed safe and the local camp owners where notified to keep an eye on it since Maine Public wasn't going to get around to it for quite a while. Units cleared the scene and returned to the station.]]></description>
